Cofinet, with 80 years of family history (and four generations as us), has grown and distributed the finest Colombian coffee to local exporters. In 2015, they expanded their operations to produce, supply, and export specialty coffee globally. As producers, they specialize in innovative alternative fermentation processes in Colombia, processing exotic varieties at their La Pradera farm in Quindío, achieving unique profiles. They represent and support numerous specialty coffee growers in Colombia, fostering direct, sustainable, and ethical relationships between farmers and global roasters.
Before creating our blends, in our pursuit of excellence, we went to Colombia and visited Cofinet. We spent a week with them, exploring their La Pradera farm, observing the entire process, from the coffee beans in the fields to the export of the green coffee, and tasting the best specialty coffees grown in Quindío.
Meet the producer
Jairo Arcila
Jairo Arcila, originally from Quindío, Colombia, comes from a long line of coffee growers. He is the father of Felipe and Carlos Arcila, who founded Cofinet. In 1987, Jairo acquired his first farm, Finca La Esmeralda, where he began cultivating his first plot of Caturra coffee. While working full-time for one of Colombia's leading coffee exporters, he gradually purchased five additional farms: Villarazo, Mazatlán, Santa Mónica, Maracay, Castellón, and Buenos Aires. These farms are where he produces some of the finest specialty coffees in Quindío.
Where do our blends originate?
Each blend is a unique creation that combines coffees from different origins to offer a cup with unparalleled flavors and aromas, impossible to achieve with a single coffee.
We strive for balance and complexity in every blend. We use Caturra coffee as a base, to which we add a different exotic coffee in each blend.

This Caturra coffee comes from Finca Santa Mónica, in Armenia (Quindío), at 1450-1500 meters above sea level, with volcanic soil and temperatures of 18-28 °C. After 30 hours of underwater fermentation, it is washed and carefully dried. Each bean is hand-selected, following strict maturity criteria, to guarantee a high-quality coffee and a unique sensory profile.
