Iberital (Barcelona, 1975) is a Spanish brand with over half a century of history in the manufacture of espresso machines for the professional and Horeca sectors. It is characterized by:
100% locally manufactured: Equipment designed and produced entirely in Barcelona, combining cutting-edge technology with Mediterranean DNA.
Versatile range: Solutions for cafes and restaurants ranging from entry-level models to high-performance options.
Global recognition: Machines that have won international awards thanks to their outstanding technological innovation and design.

Iberital was founded in 1975 in a Barcelona garage, when Blai Farré combined his passion for machining parts with an opportunity presented by the coffee market. What began as a repair shop for coffee machine pumps evolved into one of the leading brands in the professional espresso sector worldwide. Today, with a presence in over 100 countries and 70% of its revenue coming from exports, Iberital proves that excellence in coffee machines doesn't always have to come from Italy.
Everything is designed, developed, and manufactured in Barcelona. That is the essence of Iberital: a brand with deep roots in Catalan design culture and industry, with the nonconformist spirit and innovative vocation that have defined each of its products for five decades.

The recent history of Iberital cannot be understood without mentioning the Vision, presented in 2018 as a result of the European Horizon H2020 project and hailed by the specialized media as “the coffee machine of the future.” Designed by Andreu Carulla (founder of the ACID studio), the Vision became the most awarded espresso machine in history, with five international awards for design and technology, and was even exhibited as a work of art at the Disseny HUB Museum in Barcelona. That same collaboration with Carulla led to the Tandem (winner of the iF Design Award 2021) and later to the Expression Pro, another machine that has received international acclaim.
This tradition of award-winning design is no accident: it is the result of sustained investment in R&D and a product philosophy that understands aesthetics and engineering as inseparable disciplines. When the chefs at El Celler de Can Roca (three Michelin stars and twice named the world's best restaurant) chose Iberital machines for their new restaurants, they did so because an Iberital machine says something about the space in which it is installed.
Iberital organizes its machine catalog into three clearly differentiated lines (Premium, Medium and Basic), with eight models that cover virtually any need of the professional sector.
The Vision is the flagship of the Premium range, Iberital's most technologically advanced machine and the one that best represents its philosophy of innovation. With integrated connectivity, bidirectional telemetry management, and a design that has marked a turning point in the industry, it is the choice for establishments that want the best of everything: performance, technology, and unparalleled visual impact.
The Vista, unveiled at the 2023 World of Coffee in Athens, is Iberital's offering for the specialty coffee market. Eco-designed, with Dual Boiler technology for perfect water temperature at all times and a low-profile design that fosters close interaction between barista and customer, the Vista is designed for small businesses looking to grow with a tool that matches their ambitions.
The Tandem is the most approachable and welcoming machine in the Premium range, featuring an iconic design also created by Andreu Carulla, which has received numerous international awards. It's designed for spaces where design is as important as the coffee served.
The Expression Pro offers a 360° experience for the professional barista, with intuitive controls and a perfect balance between technology and usability. The Referent reinterprets tradition with a forward-looking vision, while the New Iberital combines power and style in a more accessible format. The Intenz is the ideal choice for high-volume environments where durability and reliability are paramount. And the Iberital IB7 completes the range with a compact and powerful option for smaller spaces that don't want to compromise on quality.
Iberital has developed its own technological ecosystem that is seamlessly integrated across its range of machines. IB WaterTech guarantees clean, sediment-free water thanks to an independent circuit. IB HeatControl ensures ultra-precise thermal stability, configuring the extraction temperature according to each recipe. IB EcoSmart reduces energy consumption by more than 50% through intelligent heat management. IB QuickHeat reduces start-up times by combining different heating methods to adapt to both peak and off-peak demand. The IB Joystick introduces analog-inspired ergonomics that give the barista greater control and customization in the brewing process. And Iberital Connect is the two-way telemetry platform that allows for remote machine management, analysis of consumption patterns, and anticipation of maintenance needs before they become a problem.
Iberital is also a leader in sustainability. The ANEW project, awarded Company of the Year at the 2023 Rezero Awards, is the first circular economy program in the coffee industry: a system for reconditioning and reinstalling used machines that extends their lifespan and reduces the sector's carbon footprint. Its factory in Barcelona incorporates a hydroponic garden, and its processes are certified under both ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (Environment) standards, making it the first company in the sector in Spain to achieve this recognition.
